Alicia Keys burst on to the scene in 2001 with her critically acclaimed album Songs in A Minor. Born Alicia Augello Cook on January 25, 1981, Keys was raised by her mother in Hell's Kitchen.
Her musical talent was identified early on, and she attended a performing arts school where she eventually graduated as the Valedictorian.
I have to say, although Alicia is definitely beautiful, she has a strange look. Sometimes she looks gorgeous. Sometimes she looks likes an ostrich. Not as bad as Uma Thurman... that chick has some serious ostrich DNA. But still, flightless bird comes to mind.
